Infrastructure in the Cloud for Market Data

Many FISD community members have expressed interest to offer/acquire market data services over cloud. Members have advised FISD that due to lack of resources (general manpower, people with cloud-specific knowledge and skills) they have been unable to conceive, analyse and/or generate a cloud-based proposition. 

The goal is to educate all facets of the community (end users, vendors, exchanges, etc.) to understand how to participate in a cloud market data journey; to create open source containers and other tools to illustrate how market data cloud tasks can be accomplished.

In this session we intend to review some of the challenges, opportunities and cloud-specific tools needed to develop cloud infrastructure that would serve the market data industry - agnostically - ie. publish/subscribe, distribution and entitlement functions.

If time allows there will be a demonstration.

Digital Rights Management - The Future of Managing Entitlements and Reporting

Imagine: an exchange/IDB/data vendor licensing agreement being processed – and turned into code! That’s what the DRM POC has set as a goal – and accomplished! The collaborators are demonstrating the DRM capabilities and opensource tools (RELS and ODRL) to the community to gain support from the producers of data licensing agreements as well as the data consumers; a must see thought leadership presentation/demonstration!
