Advancements in Technology: A Double-Edged Sword

It's quite obvious that the financial information industry has been radically impacted by advancements and changes in technology.  And the general consensus overall is that these technological changes have been beneficial - in a number of ways including lowering expenses, reducing mistakes and errors, generating faster procession times and more.

This session examines the full breadth of technological changes - with a closer look at the unintended and unexpected changes that create a number of problems for a broad swath of companies. Panelists will address the growing presence of 'third-party vendors' as well as the increasing use of complex advanced analytics, and opine on the increasingly difficult 'risk/reward' dilemmas that so many firms are now facing.
