FISD Webinar: Digital Asset Trading and Distributed Ledger Technology Heats Up in APAC

In early December DBS announced that it will set up a digital exchange with SGX to trade digital assets.  Around that time Japan’s SBI and SIX’s Digital Exchange (SDX) announced a partnership geared towards institutional trading for digital assets.  Not far behind came CME with their announcement to add the Etherium cryptocurrency Ether futures to their Bitcoin F&O Group. (In 2020, CME Bitcoin futures contracts have traded the equivalent to about 42,800 bitcoin on average each day)

  • What products will be traded?
  • Will there be a traditional exchange best bid/best offer CLOB style of trading, or will DLT be used?
  • How (mechanically) can data be accessed; will "data consumers” have to join the ledger, will data be added to "off-chain” feeds?
  • Will there be interoperability with any other blockchains/DLT’s?
  • Any commercial and/or data policies for use?
