David Anderson

David Anderson is a well know market data consultant. He has worked in the market data industry since 1984 – including roles with Telerate, Bishopsgate Systems and from 1989 13 years with Reuters culminating in various global marketing roles; in respect of market data systems (e.g. Triarch and RMDS). Since January 2002 David has been operating Atradia (www.atradia.com), a management consultancy practice focused on the market data industry. He has been quoted commenting on the market data industry in major publications. David edited the respected annual ‘IMD Reference’ book between 2003 and 2009. He instigated the SIIA/FISD initiative to create a professional certification program for market data practitioners. David also acts as a Program Director for a variety of other FISD activities including EMEA focussed events; the Exchange Constituent Group (ECG); the FISD Technology Forum; the FISD Buy Side Group; and the FISD Cloud Working Group. David and Atradia operate from the glorious countryside of West Sussex UK.

Tom Davin

Tom Davin is Managing Director, Financial Information Services Association (FISD) of the SIIA. FISD is the global, neutral forum for the financial information industry with a diverse membership that includes major market data vendors, exchanges, technology providers, and the financial institutions that utilize financial data products. Tom works closely with FISD members to identify major issues and seek opportunities to bring the financial information industry together to discuss and resolve those issues. FISD conducts regular membership events in North America, Europe, Asia, Brazil, and Australia and hosts the biennial World Financial Information Conference – the premiere global industry conference for financial information professionals.

Eric Baars has worked for PGGM since 2001 where he currently holds the position on Vendor Manager, responsible for the relationship management and procurement of all market data and applications for the asset management business of PGGM. PGGM is a pension fund service provider and manage the pensions for different pension funds, the affiliated employers and their employees. Currently, PGGM pension assets worth in excess of approximately EUR 167 billion. Eric was a founding member of the Dutch market data peer group (DIPUG) where he currently holds the position of co-chair.

Tristan Dehaan

Vendor Manager, Aegon Asset Management

Tristan Dehaan is the Global Lead Vendor Manager for market data at Aegon Asset Management which is part of the global insurance firm Aegon. Based in The Netherlands, but London born, Tristan is responsible for major tier 1 & 2 vendor relationships with primary roles as internal consultant to the business, external relationship manager to the vendors and as the lead Data Compliance Officer overseeing audits and data compliance programs. Prior to joining Aegon, Tristan spent 17 years at another Dutch based Asset Manager, namely Robeco, in a similar role and in total has spent more than 25 years in the Banking And Asset Management industry.
From a market perspective and to bring knowledge and creativity inside Aegon A.M., Tristan takes active involvement with various industry groups including FISD and market data peer groups such as DIPUG (the Dutch based consumer group similar to London based IPUG and Paris based Cossiom).
Tristan’s legacy dream would be to establish contract standards and plain language to bring harmony to the complex world of data audits.

Evert-Jan is the management team – member with global responsibility for all delivery of managed service, expert assistance and projects within TRG Screen. Previously, he ran Market Data Consultancy at Screen Consultants. Prior to TRG Screen Evert-Jan held senior commercial and operational roles at Global Insight (now IHS Markit), MSCI and Datastream (now Refinitiv).

John Tornatore

Director of Market Data, CBOE

John Tornatore joined Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) in 2013 as Director, Business Development. In this role, he leads U.S. and international strategic marketing initiatives to grow connectivity to CBOE and CBOE Futures Exchange (CFE) market data. He is also a member of the team responsible for developing futures and options business outside of the U.S. during the exchanges’ extended trading hours. Prior to joining CBOE, Tornatore served from 2010 to 2013 as Director of the Options Price Reporting Authority (OPRA), which provides, through market data vendors, last sale information and current options quotations from participant U.S. options exchanges. Previously, he worked from 2005 to 2010 in several roles with Zacks Investment Research in Chicago, finally serving as Vice President, Operations. From 1999 to 2003, he was a Financial Advisor with Merrill Lynch.

Tornatore holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Toledo and is currently pursuing his MBA from Northeastern University.

John Visti Madsen

John Visti Madsen has 13+ years’ experience from the financial information industry, both from data vendors and consuming firms. He started his career as a data analyst with SIX Telekurs in 2002. From 2007-2012 he’s been heading up market data and data management teams as well as providing interim consultancy services at Saxo Bank and HSBC. Relocating to the Netherlands in 2012 he joined TKP Investments (Aegon Asset Management) where he currently holds the position on Vendor Manager, looking after his firms vendor relations, contracts and sourcing activities relating to Market Data, IT and Outsourced Services. John is co-chair of the Dutch Information Provider User Group (DIPUG) and member of FISD’s FIA curriculum committee.

Paul van der Pijl

Paul van der Pijl is Functional Manager at IT within ABN-AMRO. His main focus and expertise is in the gathering and distribution of Security related data to Markets, Operations, Risk and Regulatory domains and systems. Before joining IT in 2012 Paul was Head Data Management with Fortis Brokerage Clearing & Custody, Head Processing at Global Security Financing Group and Head Static Data within Global Markets. These functions also embedded his knowledge on Client, Settlement, Payment and Corporate Action data and it’s related procedures.
