Michael is a business technologist with considerable experience of the capital markets and a background in finance industry networking. He combines a particular interest in the evolution of the capital markets with the exploitation and integration of technology in capital markets business. Recently CTO for BT Radianz, Michael was responsible for architecture and the technical strategies that underpin BT’s Financial Market propositions. These products and services include: the BT Radianz Cloud — the world’s largest secure networked financial services community, BT Radianz Messaging, BT Radianz Hosting and Venue Interconnect. Previously, Michael was the Head of GB&FM Product Technology. During this time he created a business technology group responsible for the development and evolution of products and propositions together with leadership of innovation. Prior to this he ran the Radianz Customer Solutions team that provided early adopter solutions for key clients and new technologies. In 2012, Michael was named a ‘CTO of the Year’ finalist in the Financial News awards for Excellence in Trading and Technology. And in 2013 he made the final shortlist in the Here is the City CTO/CIO of the Year Poll. Michael has an MSc in Telecommunications Business Management from the University College of London.
