Eugene Lim
Proposition Sales Specialist, Refinitiv
Eugene Lim has been working in the Financial industry for over 12 years. He began his career with State Street within the Valuations team. There he became a Senior Manager working with some of the largest banks and Asset Management firms in the world. After 11 years, Eugene changed industries working in Sales at a Search Engine Optimization company. He enjoyed the new change of pace and learned quite a bit about the Marketing business. Seeing firsthand how companies use Google and Facebook/Instagram to advertise was a great experience. After 3 years, he made his return to the financial sector in 2020 for Refinitiv (formerly Thomson Reuters). Eugene provides Reference and Pricing data to clients across Canada. He enjoys finding solutions for clients, current or new, with the wealth of data Refinitiv has to offer. Outside of work, Eugene is a passionate Toronto sports fan, cheering them on through the bad and good times. He also takes pride in staying active by going for jogs, to the gym and golfing.
Nick Merritt
Program Director, FISD
Nick joined FISD in May 2007 and works with members focused on anti-piracy of market data, data provider contract licenses and policies as well as communication among participants in the market data industry. In addition, he serves as the primary point of contact for the Data Vendor Constituent Group and the Index Forum Group. Prior to joining FISD Nick was employed with the American Bankers Association from 2002-2007 and with The NASDAQ Stock Market from 1987 – 2001 where he served as Senior Director Issuer Services. Nick holds a BA from The University of Mississippi and an MBA from The George Washington University.
