As Director of Information Architecture at Refinitiv, Ben has worked to place automation at the heart of rights-management and access control infrastructures to support customer self-service, supplier self-provisioning, pay-per-use models; and to improve compliance with licensing terms, regulations, and business policy. He co-chaired the W3C Permissions and Obligations Expression Working Group which published the ODRL standard for machine-readable rights statements and contributed to a research consortium to investigate the application of machine-readable policy-based approaches to the expression and enforcement of privacy and other regulatory controls. He is now a co-chair of the W3C Rights Automation for Market Data Community Group.
