María is a Business Manager and Finance Specialist from EAFIT University (Colombia), she holds an MSc. in Sustainable Development from the University of Sussex (England), which she completed as a Chevening Scholar. She has experience in the public and private sectors, she has been involved in strategic planning processes, management of social and environmental impact projects and inter-institutional alliances. María was part of Ruta N, innovation center of the city of Medellín (Colombia), where she was led and participated in initiatives to promote social impact through science, technology and innovation. She is co-founder of LA Network (www.la.network), a research and content platform on sustainability in Latin America. She leads sustainable investing at SURA Investment Management.
