David Anderson started his career in Market Data as a London based sales executive for US Data Vendor Telerate – starting in September 1984. At Telerate David spent 2 years responsible for sales in the Netherlands based out of Amsterdam and concluded after 3 ½ years as a Major Account Manager in London. Followed by a year at Bishopsgate System as a Business Development manager selling Market Data Distribution Systems before joining Reuters in September 1989 to sell Triarch and also acting as an Account Manager – culminating in 6 years in UK and Global Product Marketing. Effectively 17 years in Sales and Marketing Roles at large scale data vendors. David formed Atradia Ltd in January 2002 and operated a successful consulting business until 2012. In 2008 David created the FISD professional certification program under contract to FISD writing and editing both the Syllabus and the Exam for the FIA. From 2012 ceased acting as a gigging consultant and dedicated himself to a single client – FISD. David has been engaged on multiple FISD projects above and beyond Professional Certification and is well know within the global market data community. David is the talking head on the eLearning Videos and in late 2021 David started teaching his in person course – that course has been taught in Zurich; Sydney, Singapore, New York, Bangalore, Buenos Aires and London. David continues to be actively employed by FISD on projects including the FISD Engineering Stream and the FISD Exchange Constituency Group (ECG).
