Stephen Zweig leads the executive compensation practice of FordHarrison LLP, a national labor, employment and benefits law firm, where he was also managing partner of the firm’s New York office. He has counseled hundreds of individuals in negotiating their employment and separation agreements, and has developed and implemented executive compensation strategies for both individuals and companies.
Stephen is a Lexis Practice Advisor on executive compensation, has authored a chapter in Bloomberg BNA’s Executive Compensation treatise, has been published and quoted by many media sources, including Bloomberg and the Wall Street Journal, and speaks regularly to trade associations and professional groups.
Stephen is pro-bono assistant general counsel for the Financial Women’s Association of New York, and co-heads its Men’s Alliance Committee, where he recently chaired panel presentations on “Outing Sexual Harassment – Bubble? Boundaries? Backlash?” and “Outing Sexual Harassment 2.0 — Financial Industry Women (and Men) Speak Out! He has also presented workshops for the FWA on “How to Negotiate with Bullies and Win” and “How to Negotiate for Yourself at Work.” This past month he was a panelist on the 2019 Bloomberg Equality Summit program “MeToo Hits Wall Street and What This Means for Women in Finance.”
Stephen is also a member of the Humans for Fashion Foundation’s advisory board. Based on his background as a litigator in employment discrimination cases, he provides employment discrimination advice and counsel to combat sexual harassment and abuse in the fashion industry.
Stephen has been an AV Preeminent Rated Lawyer in the LexisNexis Martindale-Hubbell Top Rated Lawyers since 2002.
