David Anderson

Program Director, FISD/Atradia

David Anderson is a well know market data consultant. He has worked in the market data industry since 1984 – including roles with Telerate, Bishopsgate Systems and from 1989 13 years with Reuters culminating in various global marketing roles; in respect of market data systems (e.g. Triarch and RMDS). Since January 2002 David has been operating Atradia (www.atradia.com), a management consultancy practice focused on the market data industry. He has been quoted commenting on the market data industry in major publications. David edited the respected annual ‘IMD Reference’ book between 2003 and 2009. He instigated the SIIA/FISD initiative to create a professional certification program for market data practitioners. David also acts as a Program Director for a variety of other FISD activities including EMEA focussed events; the Exchange Constituent Group (ECG); the FISD Technology Forum; the FISD Buy Side Group; and the FISD Cloud Working Group. David and Atradia operate from the glorious countryside of West Sussex UK.

Rupert Bull

CEO, The Disruption House

Rupert has over 25 years of international experience and a wide-ranging network. He is a successful entrepreneur having co-founded, built, and sold Expand Research, the leading Capital Markets benchmarking and research business to The Boston Consulting Group (BCG). Rupert has a passion for FinTech grounded in both research and practice. On leaving BCG he founded The Disruption House, a specialist research firm investigating disruption in financial services and the role that FinTech is playing in it. He is also the founder of an early stage FinTech focused on datamining social media for trading predictions. Rupert believes in growing businesses organically through sales, the route he has taken in his own businesses. He co-founded Finceler8 to offer his expertise and support to FinTechs that need or want to do the same. Rupert’s career is full of innovation and disruption. At Expand he created the market for benchmarking Capital Markets IT investment in a business context, turning Expand from a consultancy to a technology enabled subscription benchmarking service analysing over $125 billion per annum of Operational Expenditure. Before founding Expand in 2001, he was at Instinet from 1998-2001, launching electronic trading into the OTC voice traded bond markets. At Reuters from 1993-1998 he launched an electronic last minute discount market for airfreight – a successful B2B eCommerce platform preceding the Internet! Before Reuters, Rupert spent 4 ½ years in the British Army, completing two operational tours with the United Nations in the Gulf and Cambodia.

Angelika Cilek

Financial Services Specialist for Northern Europe , Amazon Web Services

Angelika Cilek is the Financial Services Specialist for Northern Europe at Amazon Web Services. In her current role, she works with financial institutions to transform how they leverage customer insights, broaden the usage of key data in their risk management and operational processes, and expand the usage of analytics and data-driven insights across the organization. Prior to her role at AWS, Angelika has spent 12+ years in the insurance industry in different roles at Allianz Group across the insurance value chain including building an online insurance brand (AllSecur), business development and Head of Business Strategy and Broker Management at Allianz Reinsurance.

Marion Leslie

Head Financial Information, SIX

In January 2020, Marion Leslie assumed the role of Head Financial Information. The British-Australian dual citizen moved from Refinitiv (formerly Thomson Reuters), where she was appointed Managing Director Enterprise Business in 2016. In this position she was responsible for a significant flagship business of many hundreds of million dollars, delivering real-time data feeds, analytics, data management and distribution platforms to financial service customers globally. In prior roles, she has run global technology and cross asset content teams at scale, supported by 1,500 experts in 26 countries worldwide. Marion Leslie held a variety of executive roles within Thomson Reuters, which she joined in 1994. She gained international experience as Executive Director, Board of Reuters India, where she established and developed a center of excellence that would eventually span five offices and 2,000 employees. Marion Leslie holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Education in French and German from the University of Cambridge. She was nominated in the Cranfield University Female FTSE 100 Women to Watch Board Report in 2017, and in 2014 was the winner of the Award for Achievement at the Women in Banking and Finance Awards.

James Watson

Global Head of Sales, Tradition Data

James Watson is the Global Head of Sales for the Tradition Market Data Group. With over 30 years’ experience in the financial industry, he has held senior roles across a wide range of companies, most recently as CEO of ADS Securities in London. Previously, he was head of the EMEA FX Transactions business and head of FXall EMEA at Thomson Reuters. Prior to that, he held senior sales management positions at GFI Fenics. He was also involved with equity sales at Morgan Stanley, Societe Generale and Lehman Brothers. Having worked in Asia, USA and Europe, James has a deep understanding of the cultural nuances of various regions and countries. James continually strives for positive change in all of his roles. His current project is aimed at influencing change in the market data business, as well as growing TraditionDATA into a major data provider of OTC products and analytics. James sits on two boards and is an active advisor and mentor to young entrepreneurs in disruptive technology businesses. James grew up in Australia, is married with three children and lives in Kent, England
