Virginie Barbot
Head of Singapore and SEA – Nasdaq – Market Technology, NASDAQ
As Head of Singapore and South Asia at Nasdaq Market Technology, Virginie Barbot is responsible for Nasdaq Market Technology’s business in the region, supporting both market infrastructure operators and clients in other industries beyond the capital markets in their technology journeys. Prior to joining Nasdaq, she spent 8 years at Deutsche Boerse Group leading the Market Data and Analytics Services business for the German exchange operator. With her extensive experience in financial technology combined with market data and analytics, she is currently focused on developing Nasdaq’s technology offering for new markets segments. Virginie has been a resident of Singapore for the past 13 years.
Victor Ekong
Senior Systems Technologist, Solace
Victor Ekong joined Solace in 2018 as Senior Systems Technologist and FSI advocate. In this capacity, he is charged with helping companies become event-driven by adopting efficient messaging architectures. Victor started his career developing low latency data delivery platforms for financial services in US and Asia. He also is the founder of CorelDMS, a data analytics solutions company.
With 20+ years of experience in investment banking technology at Reuters and Citigroup as Head of Market Data Services, Victor oversaw pre- and post-trade connectivity with global stock exchanges, trading applications and hybrid cloud in tier 1 banks.
More recently, Victor is excited about event-driven applications with a view across multiple industries and hybrid cloud use cases. He holds MSc degrees in electrical engineering and technology management. He is certified in Quantitative Finance from Stanford University and is a Metis Data Scientist.

Jutta Werner
Head of Content Partners, Asia, Refinitiv
Jutta Werner is currently Head of Content Acquisition & Rights Management, APAC for Refinitiv. Her team manages the commercial & contractual relationships with any third party content suppliers to Refinitiv across the region, as well as handling related compliance issues. Her current base is Singapore and her previous roles in the company include Head of Third Party Content for Asia and Global head for the Reuters specialist data business based out of London between 2000 and 2004. In total she has 17 years of experience in the Market Data industry, covering both client facing and supplier facing roles in Sweden, France, the UK and Asia. Jutta holds a Master degree from EDHEC Graduate business school in France and a postgraduate degree in Business Studies from the London School of Economics.
