Alastair has been responsible for Nvidia’s business into the EMEA Financial Services market over the past 8 years , and has overseen the uptake by many Investment Banks of GPUs to accelerate their monte carlo risk analytics for market and counterparty risk . Recently , with the market acceptance of GPU as the default processor choice for deep learning training , he is now helping Banking customers to embrace/exploit the technology and to target fruitful areas for investigation in such fields as time series prediction, fraud analytics , optimal trade execution and ecomms surveillance . He worked previously at Sun Microsystems and IBM.
