Fabio Alperowitch
Founder, Fama Investimentos
Fabio Alperowitch, CFA graduated in Business Administration (FGV-SP) with extension courses at the University of California (Berkeley) and Harvard Kennedy School.
He started his career at Procter & Gamble. He founded FAMA Investimentos in 1993, where he is responsible for managing the equity fund of Brazilian companies, focused on companies with social responsibility and adhering to good ESG practices.
In the third sector, he was the founder and director of the following NGOs: FAMA Institute, Brasil-Israel Institute, Totos da Tete Institute.
He is also a board member to WWF Brazil, GRI Brazil and the Jewish Museum of Sao Paulo.
He was a member of the Board of Directors of several publicly traded companies.
Karine Bueno
Head, Sustainability, Banco Santander
Karine Bueno leads Santander Brasil Sustainability practice, which includes the expansion of the Sustainable Finance portfolio, maintaining the excellence of Santander´s own ESG performance and managing social and volunteering initiatives.
With 20 years of experience within the business, consultancy, and NGOs and a strong focus on the Financial Sector. She is also Director of the Sustainability Committee at Febraban and Board Member of Global Compact UN and CEBDS – Conselho Empresarial Brasileiro para o Desenvolvimento Sustentável.
Her education background includes a degree on Strategies for Sustainable Business (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), Early Childhood Development (Harvard University), Master in Social Psychology (São Paulo School of Sociology and Politics and a Bachelor’s degree of Psychology (Mackenzie Presbyterian University).
In the past 3 years, Santander Brasil has increased its Sustainable Finance portfolio in more than 500%, reaching R$ 13,6 bi and innovating in mechanisms such as ESG Linked Loans, Transition Bonds and others. Santander ESG knowledge also counts with experts in SCIB, DCM and Corporate Loans to support our clients in a transition to a low carbon and more inclusive economy.
Maria Eugenia Buosi
Economist, Resultante Consultoria
Maria Eugenia Buosi, economist and master in finance at FEA-USP, served as an auditor of financial information at EY and a manager of equity funds with a focus on ESG practices at ABN AMRO and Santander Asset Management. She is a partner at Resultante Consultoria, specializing in the ESG and Sustainable Finance integration agenda for 7 years in the market, as well as a postgraduate professor at institutions such as B3 Educação, Saint Paul Schools of Business.
Gleice Donini
Associate Director, Sustainability, B3
Gleice Donini is an Associated Director, responsible for Sustainability strategic agenda at B3 – Brasil, Bolsa, Balcão. She has a MS in Environmental Sciences and a Geography BS, both from University of São Paulo (USP). More than 15 years of experience, she had the opportunity to work at Aracruz Celulose, Banco Real ABN AMRO, Banco Santander and Cielo.
Gustavo Pimentel
Managing Director, SITAWI
Gustavo Pimentel is Managing Director of SITAWI, where he leads Latin America’s largest practice on Sustainable Finance and ESG Research now boasting 35+ professionals. He was voted the 3rd best contributor to the Responsible Investment agenda globally by Extel Independent Research in Responsible Investment – IRRI 2019. For 15 years, Gustavo has been advising commercial and development banks, asset managers, pension funds and insurers on integrating ESG and climate issues into strategy, risk management, product development and investment analysis, serving clients in Brazil and Latin America. Before starting his sustainable finance consulting practice in 2009, Gustavo managed the influential Eco-Finance Program at NGO Amigos da Terra – Amazônia Brasileira and worked in the financial sector (Unibanco, ABN AMRO and SR Rating). Gustavo has a BA in Economics from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and an International MBA from IE Business School.
Patricia Torres
Product Manager for Sustainable Finance Solutions, Bloomberg L.P.
Patricia Torres heads the business development team for sustainable finance solutions at Bloomberg. Patricia has spent 19 years with Bloomberg in diverse roles ranging from sales, strategy, data management, to product development. Prior to that she started her career as a management consultant. Patricia graduated as an economist and has done various post grad courses including corporate finance, enterprise selling, corporate governance and negotiation.
Ricardo Zibas
Sustainability,
Ricardo acts as an independent board member and is a former Big 4 partner and director. He has been working on sustainability and environment, social and governance (ESG) projects for 20 years. Main projects comprise climate change risk & opportunities, including the Task Force on Climate Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), health & safety, deal advisory (focus on environmental due diligences) and social & environmental impact assessment, leading engagements in Latin America, Europe and Africa. Ricardo is an architect with a MBA degree and specialization in Environmental Management.
