David Anderson

Program Director, FISD/Atradia

David Anderson is a well know market data consultant. He has worked in the market data industry since 1984 – including roles with Telerate, Bishopsgate Systems and from 1989 13 years with Reuters culminating in various global marketing roles; in respect of market data systems (e.g. Triarch and RMDS). Since January 2002 David has been operating Atradia (www.atradia.com), a management consultancy practice focused on the market data industry. He has been quoted commenting on the market data industry in major publications. David edited the respected annual ‘IMD Reference’ book between 2003 and 2009. He instigated the SIIA/FISD initiative to create a professional certification program for market data practitioners. David also acts as a Program Director for a variety of other FISD activities including EMEA focussed events; the Exchange Constituent Group (ECG); the FISD Technology Forum; the FISD Buy Side Group; and the FISD Cloud Working Group. David and Atradia operate from the glorious countryside of West Sussex UK.

Ben Cohen

Vice President, Data Strategy, WorldQuant LLC

Ben Cohen is Vice President of Data Strategy at WorldQuant LLC, where he leads the team responsible for identifying and securing all of the alternative data that helps WorldQuant’s various investment strategies. Ben worked as a Portfolio Management Associate at Morgan Stanley and was previously an Equity and Derivative Analyst at Bloomberg. Ben graduated from the University of California San Diego with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and in Political Science. Ben is also a CFA charterholder.

Tom Davin

Managing Director, FISD

Tom Davin is Managing Director, Financial Information Services Association (FISD) of the SIIA. FISD is the global, neutral forum for the financial information industry with a diverse membership that includes major market data vendors, exchanges, technology providers, and the financial institutions that utilize financial data products. Tom works closely with FISD members to identify major issues and seek opportunities to bring the financial information industry together to discuss and resolve those issues. FISD conducts regular membership events in North America, Europe, Asia, Brazil, and Australia and hosts the biennial World Financial Information Conference – the premiere global industry conference for financial information professionals.

Frederic de Sibert

Global Head of Invesmtent Banking Services Strats, Goldman Sachs

Freddie de Sibert leads a team of Data Scientists and Investment Bankers working with Goldman Sachs’s Investment Banking sales force – known internally and to their clients as Investment Banking Services. His team uses hidden or dispersed data to better serve the firm’s clients through smart actions, new relationship intelligence and predictive analytics. He has previously held roles in the Investment Banking and Technology divisions of Goldman Sachs, which he joined in 2008 in New York after graduating from the George Washington University with a BA in Computer Science and Criminal Justice. He has also helped a number of data focused companies raise capital and begin their journeys as publicly traded companies.
Freddie relocated to London in 2016 to rebuild the Strategist (Data Scientist) function in EMEA for GS IBD. Outdoors, he is an avid Squash and Real Tennis player – and works with a charity focused on Prison Reform. His other technical interests & passion projects are Healthcare IOT and Agricultural Technology. He develops chiefly in Python, has an interest in Julia and R, but is an old Perl hacker at heart.

Geoff Horrell

Geoff Horrell is Director of Applied Innovation within Thomson Reuters Labs. Geoff led the creation and commercial launch of the Thomson Reuters Knowledge Graph. Over the last 17 years he has created and launched numerous content products which are increasingly created with machine learning and NoSQL technologies. Geoff is based in London where he manages the multi-disciplinary innovation Lab of data scientists, UX & UI experts.

Atiq Khan

Market Data Engineering and Development, Goldman Sachs

Atiq Khan is the head of Software Engineering for Market Data at Goldman Sachs and his team is responsible for building solutions around data feeds, distribution, inventory and digital rights management. Atiq has over 20 years software development experience, working in both the financial industry and the technology sector. Prior to Goldman Sachs, Atiq also worked at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

Paul Klug

Global Head, Order and Rights Management, Refinitiv

Paul Klug has over 35 years of experience in the asset management, wealth management, and technology sectors. Working with Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, and Deutsche Bank, Paul has been a general manager of financial services businesses in Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, India, Australia and other Asian locations, as well as the United States. Paul graduated from Cornell University in 1973 with a BS in Operations Research and began his career as an IT consultant with Arthur Andersen (now Accenture). After receiving an MBA from The Wharton School, Paul was involved with financial services product development before moving to broader business management responsibilities.
At Thomson Reuters, Paul was Global Managing Director of Content Operations for five years. Recently, he has taken on the responsibility of re-engineering Thomson Reuters’ rights management and entitlement processes. Paul is based in New York.
Paul is married with four children and resides in New Hope, PA.

Edward Oliver

Edward Oliver is Vice President, Finance Sales at Dataminr. Edward has over nineteen years of experience in Financial Services and Fintech. At Dataminr he has been responsible for content analysis for the finance vertical and currently manages the finance vertical sales team. Prior to his role at Dataminr he was a trader in the equities division at Citigroup where he traded NYSE and NASDAQ companies across a variety of sectors. Edward holds a Bachelor of Arts from Morehouse College and an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.

Elizabeth Pritchard

Elizabeth is Founder of White Rock Data Solutions LLC a consulting firm providing innovative solutions for managing and commercializing data. In 1996, Elizabeth joined Goldman Sachs and held leadership roles across Sales and Trading, Compliance, Middle Office and Treasury for nearly two decades, delivering impact through people, process, data and technology. Elizabeth developed the strategy for and built the first Supervisory Control Function on Wall Street. As Managing Director of the Global Market Data Services team, Elizabeth adopted new data sources and applied data science to vendor content and usage to drive expense efficiencies and developed the firm’s strategy for a centralized data cloud for external content. Elizabeth collaborated with data vendors and principal investing in strategic deals. In 2015, Elizabeth joined AIG as Chief Operating Officer, Science. She was responsible for ensuring improved business outcomes in customer experience, underwriting, and claims.
In 2017, Elizabeth became a founding executive at Crux Informatics, a startup reinventing data delivery in finance. While there, Elizabeth was responsible for Marketing, Sales, and Supplier Partnerships. Elizabeth holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Northwestern University, Master of Science in Industrial Engineering and MBA from Columbia University.

Michelle Roberts

Market Data Strategy and Compliance , JP Morgan

Michelle has been with JP Morgan since July 2019 and before that was leading a project to digitise market data contracts at Goldman Sachs, including the use of a digital rights language to standardise usage rights. Michelle has over 25 years’ experience gaining knowledge across multiple aspects of the market data industry, including vendor sales and account management for Knight-Ridder and Fidessa, 8 years running global cost optimisation projects for a dealing room design Consultancy and most recently in strategic vendor management at Citi, Blackrock and Goldman Sachs.

Lisa Schirf

Former COO, Data Strategies Group and AI Research , Large Global Hedge Fund

Lisa Schirf is the former Chief Operating Officer of the Data Strategies Group and Artificial Intelligence Research at Citadel, a large global hedge fund with over $26 billion assets under management. In these roles Ms. Schirf was responsible for providing comprehensive data management and data science solutions across the firm.
Prior to joining Citadel, Ms. Schirf headed business development for the Global Information Services division of Nasdaq. She also founded and was President of HNL Ventures LLC, an early stage investment advisory firm, and was an Investment Committee Member of TechU Angels LLC, a seed investment firm founded by entrepreneurs with roots at MIT and focused on investing in technology startups emanating from the MIT ecosystem.
Earlier in her career Ms. Schirf was the Chief Operating Officer of Fischer Francis Trees & Watts (FFTW), a fixed income asset management subsidiary of BNP Paribas Investment Partners (BNPPIP) with over $56 billion assets under management. Prior to FFTW, Ms. Schirf co-founded alternative investment seeding platform Malbec Partners, a BNPPIP subsidiary, and served as Malbec’s Chief Operating Officer.
Prior to BNPPIP, Ms. Schirf worked at Goldman Sachs in London in acquisition finance and in an internal investment fund. She started her career as a Portfolio Manager at CDC Capital in New York. She has over 20 years of business experience.
In May 2017 Ms. Schirf was named as one of the 50 Leading Women in Hedge Funds 2017 by The Hedge Fund Journal. She has served as a board member of the MIT Sloan Alumni Board and the MIT Sloan Club of New York Board. Ms. Schirf holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management (2002) and a BS in Management from Villanova University (1994) and resides in New York City with her husband and two sons.

Tracey Shumpert

Vice President of Membership and Programs, FISD

Tracey Shumpert is Vice President of Membership and Progams at FISD, where she seeks to constantly improve the FISD member experience and to broaden the FISD community. She is the program manger for the World Financial Information Conference, the Alternative Data Council, Lunch & Learn and Women’s Group activities.

Prior to FISD Tracey was senior events manager at FIX Trading Community and before that, she held various roles at Bloomberg. Tracey holds a BA in Comparative Literature at Smith College and an MA in English and Comparative Literature at Columbia University.

James Watson

Global Head of Sales, Tradition Data

James Watson is the Global Head of Sales for the Tradition Market Data Group. With over 30 years’ experience in the financial industry, he has held senior roles across a wide range of companies, most recently as CEO of ADS Securities in London. Previously, he was head of the EMEA FX Transactions business and head of FXall EMEA at Thomson Reuters. Prior to that, he held senior sales management positions at GFI Fenics. He was also involved with equity sales at Morgan Stanley, Societe Generale and Lehman Brothers. Having worked in Asia, USA and Europe, James has a deep understanding of the cultural nuances of various regions and countries. James continually strives for positive change in all of his roles. His current project is aimed at influencing change in the market data business, as well as growing TraditionDATA into a major data provider of OTC products and analytics. James sits on two boards and is an active advisor and mentor to young entrepreneurs in disruptive technology businesses. James grew up in Australia, is married with three children and lives in Kent, England

Rich Webley

Head of Big Data Client Strategy & Business Development, Citi

Richard has 22 years of financial industry experience and is the global head of Big Data client strategy and business development, working with Investor clients on their emerging needs in the Big Data space. The Big Data Client Strategy & Business Development Role is newly created within Citi Markets and Research to help coordinate our global activities in the evolving industry of Big Data, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. The team is building a new product, Citi Global Data Insights (CGDI) which will provide bespoke access to Citi data and services. Prior to the new role Richard was Americas Head of Business Advisory Services, the strategic consulting team within Investor Sales and Relationship Management. Richard began his career in 1995 at JP Morgan in the Investment Bank and held various roles in operations & technology before joining the specialist capital markets consulting company m.a.partner in 2001. As a partner in the US practice he worked with a wide variety of the Investment Banks and Hedge Funds across the spectrum of operations and technology business consulting, including business strategy, market research, organizational design, operations & technology architecture, and vendor outsourcing. When Detica Consulting acquired m.a.partners in 2007 Richard ran the US financial services consulting practice before joining Citi in 2009 to run strategy & planning for the US Broker-Dealer before joining Business Advisory Services in 2010.

Richard holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from East London University and attended Harvard Business School’s Leading Professional Services Firms course in 2008.
