Medan Gabbay is Chief Revenue Officer for Quod Financial a global multi-asset trading and automation technology company that has delivered Buy-side and Sell-Side trading solutions since 2004. Prior to capital markets Medan worked as a infrastructure engineer and consultant for General Electric implementing and managing large scale data and systems projects in Aviation, Healthcare and Life Sciences.
As a former engineer now working in the “grey world” of sales – he believes firmly in using the simplest solution to solve real-world problems with minimal pain.
Carl Grivner
Chief Executive Officer, Colt
Carl Grivner was appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Colt in January 2016.
He brings more than 25 years of leadership experience in the telecommunications and technology industry to Colt. This includes 12 years’ operating at the level of CEO for major companies in North and Central America, Europe, and Asia.
Carl joined Colt having spent three years in Singapore as CEO of Pacnet, where he directed the global strategy of one of Asia’s leading end-to-end communications service providers.
Prior to that, Carl was CEO of XO Communications, a US network provider, where he played a key role in transforming the business from a local exchange carrier to a national carrier.
Carl also headed the North American operations of Cable & Wireless plc (Western Hemisphere) as CEO. He has previously held various senior management positions in Ameritech and IBM.
Andrew Housden
Vice President Capital Markets, Colt
Andrew Housden is VP for Capital Markets at Colt Technology Services where he manages a global team to serve the needs of clients in the Financial Services community. Currently based in London, Andrew has global business experience and lived in Connecticut for 10 years. Andrew joined Colt after a lengthy career at BT Global Services. During that time he developed deep experience of the Retail, FMCG and the Financial Services sectors. Whilst VP for BT’s Global Banking & Financial Markets, Andrew led the Unified Trading & Radianz cloud services businesses connecting the global trading community. He also managed BT’s large Global Finance Accounts and, having sold & managed £billion outsourcing contracts, Andrew is recognized as someone who can successfully deliver technology transformation and operate large, secure and complex communication infrastructures.
Now at Colt, Andrew is managing the global Capital Markets business and helping clients move business applications to the cloud whilst also providing secure & reliable high bandwidth connectivity between primary financial centres. Andrew is an experienced executive with strong leadership and communication skills who believes that most business challenges are achievable with the right people, teamwork and direction setting. He resolves complex issues, set high standards and delivers on his promises. Andrew enjoys the challenge of working in and with large firms who are serious about being the best.
Andrew gained a BA (Honours) in History & Political Science from Kent University and completed post-graduate study at Indiana University in the USA. He is married with two children and lives in Richmond, North Yorkshire.
