David Anderson

Program Director, FISD/Atradia

David Anderson is a well know market data consultant. He has worked in the market data industry since 1984 – including roles with Telerate, Bishopsgate Systems and from 1989 13 years with Reuters culminating in various global marketing roles; in respect of market data systems (e.g. Triarch and RMDS). Since January 2002 David has been operating Atradia (www.atradia.com), a management consultancy practice focused on the market data industry. He has been quoted commenting on the market data industry in major publications. David edited the respected annual ‘IMD Reference’ book between 2003 and 2009. He instigated the SIIA/FISD initiative to create a professional certification program for market data practitioners. David also acts as a Program Director for a variety of other FISD activities including EMEA focussed events; the Exchange Constituent Group (ECG); the FISD Technology Forum; the FISD Buy Side Group; and the FISD Cloud Working Group. David and Atradia operate from the glorious countryside of West Sussex UK.

Nathan Attrell

Director, Cloud Proposition, Refinitiv

Nathan has worked with Refinitiv since 2003, initially focussing on sales to hedge funds, exchanges, investment banks, asset managers, fintech organisations.
Nathan has worked subsequently in business development and execution strategy for the Refinitiv EMEA hedge funds business, and thereafter business development and business execution strategy for the EMEA Enterprise feeds business. Areas of focus have been predominantly on customer quant workflows and big data solutions – covering tick history, machine readable news, news sentiment, helping firms bring together structured and unstructured data, tagging, and knowledge graphs, and on solutions to meet customer regulatory requirements.

Prior to moving into the Cloud Proposition team, Nathan most recently led EMEA execution strategy for Refinitiv’s Platform Access Commercial model, delivering multi-year partnership-based and content-and-platform-driven commercial agreements with Refinitiv’s largest key strategic customers. He is now Director, Cloud Proposition, a team established to define and execute strategy with regard to how Refinitiv meets its customers in the cloud. Prior to joining Refinitiv, Nathan worked as an equity derivatives broker on single stock options.

Ryan Burdick

Senior VP Business Development, Xignite

Ryan has over fifteen years of expertise in financial information technology, data and analytics sales having led several companies through rapid growth and profitability. At Xignite, Ryan is responsible for the global sales and business development teams for the company’s Data-as-a-Service and Platform-as-a-Service offerings. Prior to Xignite, Ryan served as Head of Client Management North America for IHS Markit, leading a team responsible for managing the company’s enterprise software clients. Prior to IHS Markit he was Vice President at S&P Capital IQ responsible for sales and business development for the company’s large portfolio of complex enterprise data and analytics solutions servicing financial institutions as well as financial technology clients. In addition, he also has held senior sales positions at Standard and Poor’s across various commercial teams; credit, risk analytics and desktop.

Ollie Cadman

Chief Product Officer, Vela

Ollie Cadman is Head of Product and Strategy, responsible for driving product development, strategy, and roadmap priorities at Vela. His role also includes identifying new market, partnership, and product opportunities through ongoing engagements with the firm’s global client base. Based in London, Ollie joined Vela from Intercontinental Exchange (previously Interactive Data) and has a proven track record in global rollout and development of a wide range of products and services. He has an extensive background in electronic trading, exchange connectivity, and real-time data. Combined with his strong analytical skills, he has an ability to adapt to market challenges and optimize new business opportunities. Ollie has held senior roles at Citihub Consulting, JP Morgan, and the London Stock Exchange. Ollie holds a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Hertfordshire.

Richard Caven

Financial Services Business Leader- (UK/Ireland/Nordics), Amazon Web Services

Richard Caven is responsible for financial services business and market development at Amazon Web Services (AWS) for the UK and Ireland, where he leads the development and execution of strategic initiatives to increase the adoption and usage of AWS Cloud Services in the digital transformation journey of customers. Richard has over 20 years of experience working in Financial Services first as a management consultant, and then for 10 years at Barclays PLC. As a consultant he worked on strategy and organisation projects for international retail banking, insurance and asset management clients. At Barclays he led the European strategy team for the investment bank and also served as Chief of Staff to the Group Chairman. He subsequently moved to Investor Relations where he become MD, Head of Debt IR and Credit Rating Agency Relations, establishing the function to meet the changing needs of investors in a post-CRD IV regulatory environment. Before joining AWS in 2018 Richard was Chief of Staff and COO for Barclays Global Treasury.

Terence Chabe

Business Development Manager, Capital Markets, Colt

Terence works as Business Development Manager at Colt Capital Markets, on-boarding providers and members to the Colt PrizmNet financial extranet, including relationship management of exchanges, venues, content providers, ISV’s and strategic partners. Terence’s role also encompasses identifying Cloud and Colt IQ opportunities alongside a focus on Industry trends such as AI, regulation, risk modelling, blockchain and new geographical markets. Terence joined Colt from ICE Data Services (formerly Interactive Data) where he worked as a Senior Sales Specialist specialised in information, analytics and connectivity solutions, with a range of proprietary data and tools for global markets across fixed income, equities, commodities, FX and options. At Thomson Reuters, Terence joined as a Financial Application Specialist before moving swiftly into Sales and Account Management. Having worked closely with a variety of clients including Investment Banks, Investment Management, Commodity and Energy firms, as well as London-based Representative Banks, Terence moved into managing a portfolio of Hedge Fund clients. Prior to Thomson Reuters, Terence worked as Sales Manager at Odyssey Logic, a company developing bespoke algorithmic trading software based on technical analysis. Odyssey Logic was the second company to write Bloomberg’s API.

Elena de Gravisi

Product Manager, S&P Global Market Intelligence

Elena is a Product Manager at S&P Global Market Intelligence. S&P Global Market Intelligence provides essential information to make decisions with conviction. Elena joined the Cross Reference Services team in April 2019, helping firms organize and maintain their security and entity master files.

 

Kevin Formby

VP Financial and Capital Markets, Keysight Technologies

Kevin spent his early career in the defence industry as a weapons systems engineer with GEC Marconi in the UK. Subsequently he moved into the telecommunications industry with business development and marketing roles with BT, SITA and then Equant. At Equant he was responsible for the global product management of the network services business. He was part of the original management team that set up Radianz in 2000 which went on to become the de facto means of interconnecting clients for electronic trading and was ultimately acquired by BT. During his ten years at Radianz he held a series of senior management roles including Head of US Sales.

Kevin has a First Class Honors degree in Electrical and Communications Engineering from Birmingham University in the UK and is a Chartered Engineer.

Jimmy Huang

Product SME, TickSmith

Jimmy Huang, the Data Pooling lead at TickSmith began collaborating with CanDeal 3 years ago on this innovative concept to pool data from the top 6 Canadian banks for FRTB purposes. He’s been onsite from the beginning of the project as the big data expertise but through interacting with every participating bank on a biweekly basis for these years, he was able to fundamentally understand their collective needs. TickSmith built a secure data pool with modellability report generation currently in production with the banks now.

Alistair Kerr

Executive Director, JP Morgan

Alistair Kerr is an experienced financial services technology executive, working in various areas of market data for almost 20 years. In his current role as Global Head of Market Data Services at JPMorgan, he is responsible for the provision of end to end market data solutions, including engineering and development, connectivity, control, and production support. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Master of Science in Information Technology Systems from the University of Strathclyde.

Gillian Lamela

Vice President, Cloud Execution Project Manager, Barclays

Gillian currently supports the Cloud Execution Programme at Barclays which focuses on accelerated migration enabling Markets, Corporate and Cards businesses to provide a simpler, faster access to storage and compute, reduce our physical server estate and data centre footprint, improve developer productivity and support cost optimization.

Gillian is one of the co-founders for Women In Technology UK at Barclays whose platform to inspire and empower women to achieve their career aspirations STEM and sits on the Barclays Diversity & Inclusion Committee. She frequently speaks at global events such as Microsoft’s Future Decoded Conference ‘Artificial Intelligence Panel in Financial Services’, Refinitiv’s DevOps Summit, Northern Blockchain Group ‘Women in Innovation’, NASA SpaceApps TeensinAI Hackathon and many others.

Stathis Onasoglou

Customer Engineer, Google Cloud

Stathis works at Google Cloud as an Architect Customer Engineer in the Capital Markets team. He has over 13 years of combined experience in advanced analytics and financial services. Prior to Google he worked in a London-based event driven Hedge Fund, where he was leading the data science initiative towards leveraging “quantamentals” to generate alpha. Previously, he worked as a product manager in the FX algo-trading desk at Morgan Stanley, and in the past in the FS Risk Advisory of Deloitte UK.

Nigel Phelan

Chief Architect for the Market Data team , JP Morgan

Nigel Phelan is the chief architect for the central market data team at JP Morgan Chase. He has been working in the field for over 15 years and prior to that worked as a consultant for a large professional services firm offering technical expertise on a range of messaging and security middleware technologies. Nigel is a Chartered Engineer and has a PhD in the field of computer aided engineering from the University of Bath.

Tracey Shumpert

Vice President of Membership and Programs, FISD

Tracey Shumpert is Vice President of Membership and Progams at FISD, where she seeks to constantly improve the FISD member experience and to broaden the FISD community. She is the program manger for the World Financial Information Conference, the Alternative Data Council, Lunch & Learn and Women’s Group activities.

Prior to FISD Tracey was senior events manager at FIX Trading Community and before that, she held various roles at Bloomberg. Tracey holds a BA in Comparative Literature at Smith College and an MA in English and Comparative Literature at Columbia University.

Peter Williams

Chief Technology Officer, CJC

Peter Williams is CTO at CJC Ltd the leading global market data technology Managed Services and Consultancy provider. Reporting directly to the board Peter’s role is to grow the business at CJC by developing client solutions, exploring new technologies and overseeing their implementation. As a market data technology professional with 17 years’ experience and a career spanning inter dealer brokers, tier one investment banks and a global managed services provider Peter has wide ranging experience of technologies and organisations. Initially working in a support role with Tullett Prebon and then Credit Suisse Peter joined CJC Ltd 10 years ago as an onsite consultant at BNP Paribas, soon after Peter was seconded into forming part of the initial managed services team at CJC which provided remote monitoring, support and management of the newly created Reuters Hosted System (RHS). As the system grew and thrived so did CJC and Peter was made Director of Operations for EMEA with the remit of growing the London support and engineering teams and helping to shape the operational processes and structures used to deliver the service. A self-confessed geek Peter revels in new technology and is a passionate advocate of “the cloud” and cloud based managed services.

Paul Yates

MDS Engineering EMEA Lead , JP Morgan

20 years Investment Banking IT experience working in FX and Credit ETrading, Pricing and Trade Capture lead development roles for various tier 1 banks in Australia, Singapore and London. C++ and Java development experience in low latency high throughput environments. Currently working at JP Morgan leading the EMEA Market Data Engineering team and building solutions to help facilitate applications migration to Cloud and virtual platforms.
