David Anderson
Program Director, FISD/Atradia
David Anderson is a well know market data consultant. He has worked in the market data industry since 1984 – including roles with Telerate, Bishopsgate Systems and from 1989 13 years with Reuters culminating in various global marketing roles; in respect of market data systems (e.g. Triarch and RMDS). Since January 2002 David has been operating Atradia (www.atradia.com), a management consultancy practice focused on the market data industry. He has been quoted commenting on the market data industry in major publications. David edited the respected annual ‘IMD Reference’ book between 2003 and 2009. He instigated the SIIA/FISD initiative to create a professional certification program for market data practitioners. David also acts as a Program Director for a variety of other FISD activities including EMEA focussed events; the Exchange Constituent Group (ECG); the FISD Technology Forum; the FISD Buy Side Group; and the FISD Cloud Working Group. David and Atradia operate from the glorious countryside of West Sussex UK.
Tim Baker
Head of IEX Cloud, IEX Cloud
Tim Baker heads IEX Cloud, a new wholly-owned subsidiary of IEX Group which was founded in 2012 with a simple mission: build fairer markets. The company started by building a new stock exchange – the Investors Exchange – that aims to level the playing field for long-term investors such as mutual funds and pension funds that represent the savings of millions of people. The story behind the founding of IEX was chronicled in Michael Lewis’ 2014 book Flash Boys: A Wall Street Revolt. Launched in May 2019, IEX Cloud is a “digital first” platform that curates financial data from a variety of sources, and makes it available to end users and developers through a single high performance API.
Prior to joining IEX, Tim worked for over 9 years at Refinitiv (previously the financial and reporting division of Thomson Reuters), occupying a number of senior content and innovation roles. Most recently he established and led Refinitiv Labs. Previously, Tim was a Managing Director at UBS occupying a number of equity research, managerial and technology roles. Tim is a CFA charter holder and holds an MBA and Bachelors of Science from Bath University, and was originally trained as a telemetry analyst and electronics engineer at Rolls-Royce plc.
Trey Berre
Global Head, CME Data Services, CME Group
Trey Berre oversees CME Group’s portfolio of historical, real-time and derived data products and services. This includes the development of new data products, data distribution methods and analytics, as well as the integration of NEX data offerings into CME Group.
Previously, Berre led the company’s Derived Data Licensing & Partner Services business since January 2018, working with businesses to develop innovative products and tools from CME Group’s multi-asset benchmark futures and options market data. He previously served as Chief of Staff for the company’s Office of the President and has served in various roles of increasing responsibility within CME Group operations and market regulation functions.
Prior to joining CME Group in 2010, Berre was an Assistant State’s Attorney with the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office in Chicago. He holds a J.D. from DePaul University College of Law and a bachelor’s degree from Butler University. He is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association.
Christin Brown
Global Financial Services Strategy & Solutions Lead, Google Cloud
Christin is responsible for helping financial services institutions design and implement enterprise-class digital strategies that accelerate business from a cloud-first perspective. Christin brings more than 23 years of experience supporting various customers in their design, implementation, and deployment of applications. Before joining Google Cloud, she served as a Global Architect at Apigee (acquired by Google Cloud). Christin previously spent 17 years at IBM, progressing through various technical and business roles. She was recognized as a Distinguished Engineer by IBM for her ability to drive customer innovation. Christin is a Master Certified Information Technology Architect in Complex Systems Integration.
Catalina Vazquez
Proposition Director, Tick History, Refinitiv
Catalina heads up Refinitiv’s Historical Data business globally. As Proposition Director, she leads the strategy design and execution for Refinitiv’s market leading Tick History offering. In her current role, she works with customers across financial services enabling them to extract insight from Refinitiv’s vast historical data archive and innovate through building and back-testing trading strategies at scale, performing quantitative research and analysis and meeting regulatory requirements. Catalina has held a series of roles in sales, operations and strategy. Most recently she has focused on leading the commercialization and go-to-market roll out of Refinitiv’s Enterprise offerings in the real time and analytics space. Prior to joining Refinitiv, Catalina worked for Google and AbinBev in Argentina. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Universidad de San Andres in Argentina and is currently undertaking her postgraduate studies at London Business School in the UK.
