Market Data Over Cloud – A Demonstration of Data Vendor-agnostic Infrastructure

An FISD community member created a sandbox to see whether a vendor-agnostic “container” could be implemented to retrieve market data from multiple vendors. He will demonstrate the container and discuss:

– The tools necessary to create the container: use of open-source versus commercial appliances
– Challenges to emulate traditional market data consumption and distribution environments using cloud infrastructure
– When developing market data for cloud tools we often hear the term “event driven”. What does this mean and why is it important?
– Does cloud present new/greater challenges to comply with market data policies? Can we expect new policies for cloud?
